2. Privacy Overview

We built Wondaer to be safe for families.

We:

Do not sell personal data
Do not run third-party ads inside the app
Do not knowingly collect children’s personal information
Collect limited data only to improve the app and maintain functionality

3. Information We Collect

A. Automatically Collected Information

When you use the app, we may collect:

Anonymous device identifiers (e.g., Firebase Instance ID)
Device type and operating system
App usage analytics (screens viewed, time spent, crash reports)
Reading progress (e.g., last page viewed)
Favorite Stories saved in “My Collection”
Geographic information derived from device settings or analytics tools.

We use analytics tools such as Firebase Analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the experience.

We do not use this information for advertising resale or behavioral tracking.

B. Information You Voluntarily Provide

If an adult chooses to:

Google and Apple authentication are optional and accessed only from the settings screen (behind an age gate). Signing in does not currently create a user account or subscription.

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Wondaer is designed for families and schools.

We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information as defined under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

We do not require children to create accounts.
We do not allow children to submit personal information.
Any email collection is intended for parents or adults only.

If you believe we have collected children’s personal information in error, contact us at hello@wondaer.com and we will promptly delete it.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Improve storytelling and interactive features
Analyze which books are most enjoyed
Restore reading progress
Maintain app performance and security
Respond to inquiries
Comply with legal obligations

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

We may share data only with trusted service providers (such as hosting or analytics providers) who process information on our behalf and are required to safeguard it.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

We make no warranties regarding uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wondaer Studios, LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services.

Total liability shall not exceed any amounts paid (if any) for use of the Services.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will reflect a new effective date.

Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
